Rapha: The festive season is meant to be the moment to take a breath before life resets. A welcome change to the regular rhythm. But it often ends up being the most hectic part of the year.

That is why we challenge ourselves every December. Not just physically, in terms of distance or hours, but to remind ourselves that the holidays are just that: a holiday. The moment you have the permission to waste some time exactly how you want.

The Challenge: The Festive 500 is our annual ritual: ride 500 kilometres over eight days, from December 24 to December 31.
